Unshelved Comic Features ASoIaF

Unshelved, a comic strip that features a recommendation for a book every Sunday,  has now featured GRRM’s A Game of Thrones.

Card Game Expansion Set Named

The next expansion set for Fantasy Flight Games’s card game, the A Game of Thrones: Iron Throne Edition, has been named according to the July 21st entry at their rants page. According to Dan, the expansion will be called “A House of Thorns”, and will heavily focus on House Tyrell.

ENnie Awards Voting

As previously reported, the A Game of Thrones Roleplaying game (PDF version purchasable here) has been nominated in a number of categories in this year’s ENnie Awards. Among the nominations are Best d20/OGL Product and Best Product. What we failed to mention was the fact that voting is open to everyone.

Ruby Ford Orders Cancelled

As some may be aware, Testor has cancelled all standing orders for the limited edition Ruby Ford miniatures sculpted by Tom Meier. No word has yet been given when orders will re-open.

Official Site Update

GRRM’s official site has an updated “Not A Blog” entry concerning the on-going renovations of his home, his trip to the San Diego Comic-Con, his decision to allow comments on his posts, and (perhaps most interestingly) his statement that there are three significant projects in the works that he can’t yet talk about in detail.

Storm of Swords Game Expansion

Fantasy Flight Games has announced that their latest expansion to the A Game of Thrones board game, titled A Storm of Swords, is now available on store shelves and through their on-line store.

RPG Receives ENnie Award Nominations

The A Game of Thrones RPG produced by Guardians of Order has been nominated in several categories for this year’s ENnie Awards. The categories include Best Production Values, Best Game, Best d20/OGL Product, and Best Product. Congratulations to the people at GoO who made this possible, and good luck with the awards!

AGoT RPG Fan Forum

Given the currently highly uncertain status of Guardians of Order, who published the A Game of Thrones RPG, fans of the game have created a forum for the community, to ensure that a meeting place exists even if the official website and its forums disappear.

Card Game Updated

Fantasy Flight Games has unveiled the new graphic design for future A Game of Thrones collectible card game sets. Details can be found here. One of the particular benefits of the design is that the area for the art is abouty 25% larger than previously.

Sci-Fi Channel Site of the Week

Discovered this a bit belatedly, but Westeros.org has had the honor of being selected as a Site of the Week by Sci-Fi.com, the official website of the Sci-Fi Channel.

Official Site Update

GRRM’s official site has an updated “Ice and Fire Update” section catching up fans on the status of A Dance with Dragons, as well as an updated “What I’m Watching” entry, an updated “News” entry regarding the Fevre Dream comic book adaption by Avatar Press, and a new entry in the “Covers” section featuring a cover from that adaption.

So Spake Martin Update

The So Spake Martin collection has been updated with new Targaryen descriptions that GRRM has provided to Amoka and a recent interview in Comic-Con International’s Update magazine.

GRRM’s official site has an updated “From My Readers” section featuring a new picture, as well as a new (and amusing) fan letter and response. GRRM’s “Not A Blog” has also been updated with news of GRRM’s doings since his last entry.

Princesses in the Tower

Amok turns in another great series of portraits of the Targaryens, this time featuring the three sisters of Baelor the Blessed for whom the Maidenvault is named: Daena the Defiant, Rhaena, and Elaena. Amok has also provided GRRM’s descriptions of the three characters here.
